■Nishinoya's POV■

Months have passed, I, Tanaka, Kageyama, and Hinata are currently sitting with our knees in front of Takeda sensei. I can see Tsukishima snickers from the corner. Chikara is also staring right at me and Tanaka as we both avert our gaze somewhere else.

Chikara: Did you guys listen to what Takeda sensei just said? if you failed your exam, no participate in the tournament.

Hinata and Kageyama hurriedly kneeling in front of Yachi as they beg her to teach them. They knew Tsukishima would rather mocking and teases them rather than teach them. I gulp and both Tanaka and I look at Chikara who's smiling with hidden meaning. His smiling face looks so scary.

Tanaka: oii Chikara, don't be so hard on us if you're going to teach us

Enoshita: that's not how you talk to someone who's gonna help you... I too need to practice (sigh)

Just then L/N steps in and raises her hand politely.

Y/N: I... uh... I can tutor Nishinoya, and Tanaka kun.... uh so, Enoshita kun could focus on your own study and volleyball practice...

L/N looks as if she was shining. Tanaka and I look at each other and then we booth came closer to L/N and kneel in front of her.

Tanaka & Nishinoya: THANK YOU GODDESS

L/N is startled by us but then she smiles sweetly. L/N really is beautiful

Y/N: I'll do my best to help... Tanaka kun... Nishinoya kun

Just then Kinoshita and Narita both kneel next to me and Tanaka

Kinoshita & Narita: WE WANT TO STUDY TOO

Enoshita: YOUR GRADE ARE FINE! FOUS ON PRACTICING YOUR PASS AND RECEIVE!

Geez, Chikara is just like Daichi san. Then I meet eyes with Y/N and she chuckles, making me wants to smile seeing her beautiful smile.

■3rd Person POV■

Tanaka and Nishinoya could feel murderous auras from around them. They're currently studying with Y/N in her class since the start of the break time. Just like what Enoshita said, Y/N does have plenty of admirers.

Tanaka and Nishinoya glance at Enoshita who sits in the front row, asking for some kind of help. But, Enoshita looks away, doesn't want to be the target of his classmates' hate stares too.

Nishinoya & Tanaka's mind: "Chikara you jerk"

10 minutes before the break's over, Y/N decided to stop their study session. Tanaka and Nishinoya sigh and glare back at the boys from Y/N's class. Just then Y/N snap them from their intense glare.

Y/N: uh... I'm sorry... we should study in other places next time... we could study in the club room after school and maybe on the rooftop during lunch break... sorry if it's uncomfortable to study in here...I don't know why they're all staring...

Nishinoya & Tanaka's mind: "because we are lucky enough to be tutored by you"

Nishinoya: It's alright L/N! thank you for teaching us, it's easier to understand your notes than the textbook.

Tanaka: We'll see you later goddess!

With that, both Nishinoya and Tanaka rose from the chair and walk out. When they walk out, Nishinoya sees and hears a boy approach Y/N's desk.

Boy: L/N please meet me after school

Nishinoya watches as Y/N looks a little bit troubled but nodded her head. Noya then walks to his class.

After school Tanaka, Nishinoya and Y/N are going to study in the club room. Tanaka is on cleaning duty so Nishinoya walks to the club room first. When he walks in the hallway, he hears Y/N's voice from the end of the hallway. He unconsciously walks closer.

Y/N: I... uh.. I'm sorry... but, I have someone that I like...

Nishinoya watches as Y/N bows her head at the boy in front of her.

"She likes someone huh? what a lucky guy" Nishinoya thought.

Just then Nishinoya sees the boy reach out and grab Y/N's hand, startling the girl. Seeing someone touching her like that making Nishinoya annoyed.

Boy: would you at least try it out with me first? I mean, what's that guy have that I don't? I'll try to fill your epectati-

Just then Y/N was pulled backward, making the boy grips on her loosening. Then, someone stands in front of Y/N, hiding her behind his body. Nishinoya stares at the boy in front of him, who's definitely taller than him, probably around Kageyama's height.

Nishinoya stares at him, unwavering.

Y/N: Ni...shinoya kun...

Boy: what are you doing? oh, you're from this afternoon huh? You're someone who she tutored during lunch br-

Nishinoya: can't you see that she's uncomfortable?

Nishinoya's voice is stern and low, making the boy kind of backing away. Even Y/N was surprised when she hears Nishinoya's voice.

Nishinoya: She already rejected you and said she has someone she likes... don't act all desperate like that!... don't bother her again, or you'll be facing the entire Karasuno's volleyball team.

The boy was stunned by Nishinoya's threat and then excuses himself after apologizing to Y/N. After the boy left, Nishinoya looks back at Y/N.

Nishinoya: are you alright?

Y/N: uh yes... Thank you Nishinoya kun...

Y/N said, a little bit flustered. Nishinoya then smiles at her and then grabs her hand, making the girls even more startled.

Nishinoya: well, let's go to the club room, Tanaka will be there soon too...

Y/N: Okay...

Before they walk into the room, Nishinoya stops and smiles at Y/N.

Nishinoya: L/N!

Y/N: uh.. yes...

Y/N's heart is beating as Nishinoya leans closer and staring at her with a smile.

Nishinoya: If I pass the exam, can I call you by your name?

Y/N could feel as her face grew warm. The thought of Nishinoya calling her by her name, making her heart beats rapidly.

Y/N: uh... wh..why after the exam?

Y/N actually don't mind if Nishinoya calls her by her name by now.

Nishinoya: because I thought I have to be smarter to be your close friend! so that's why let me call you by your name if I pass it, and... call me Yuu

Y/N's face is red by now, but she's happy

Y/N: O...kay... please do your best

With that, the two walks inside the club room and wait for Tanaka to start their study session.

■Y/N's POV■

Kageyama is tossing the ball and then Hinata hits it, the ball fell right on the other side of the court. Cheers rose around the gym as our team won our first game on the first day of the spring inter-high.

Everyone passed the exam, so thankfully they're all able to participate in the tournament. I watch as the boys line up and greet the supporters. The alumni of the volleyball team are present on the bleachers. Daichi san, Sugawara san, Azumane san, and Shimizu san.

I watch as Tanaka and Nishinoya kun look happily at Shimizu san. Shimizu san really is pretty after all. I'm glad that we won today's match, but there's something tugging in my chest after seeing how Nishinoya kun looks when he sees Shimizu san.

I look down at my feet when I feel a presence in front of me. I look up to meet Nishinoya's smiling brightly at me.

Nishinoya: L/N we wooon!

He raises both hands, waiting for me to gift him a toss. I raise my hands and tap his hand and he intertwined our fingers. My breath hitch when I feel our hands connected.

Y/N: Ni... Nishinoya Kun?

Nishinoya gives me his boyish smiles.

Nishinoya: I want to ask for my gift for passing the exam and winning the game! I'm gonna call you y/N from now on... and you too call me Yuu...

I can feel my heart is beating rapidly. Nishinoya let go of my hands, and I feel lost without them. I gulp down and look at him in the eyes.

Y/N: Y... Yuu...kun

Nishinoya smiles and places his hand on my head, he ruffles my hair gently.

Nishinoya: good girl! thank you Y/N for helping me and Tanaka to pass the test...

This is really bad, I'm sure I'm super red by now. Just then Enoshita, Kinoshita, and the other came. They all tackle Yuu until he fell to the ground.

Enoshita: Noyaa you damned

Tanaka: being called by your first name by Kiyoko san successor

Nishinoya: She promised me we can be a close friend if I pass the exam

Kinoshita: Give us her scent to

They're all bickering, it makes me laugh.

Y/N: everyone... good job

I raised both of my hands and they give me a tap one by one. After that, I exchange glances with Yuu and we both laugh.

I'm so happy to join the volleyball team as their manager

I got the chance to be friends with these amazing people
